Photographer's Note
A follow-up post to "touching freedom" actually taken moments before he slumped to ground and put his paws through the bars. It said in bold letters on an information board that bears were so dangerous because you could not tell their mood by their facial expressions.....I beg to differ.

Another good shot, but not as moving as the first one. Although you've got the little glimpse in the eye, showing a very lively, but sad expression, IMHO, that part of the face could have been slightly clearer.(see WS)

A really sad image Tim, bears are dangerous yes, and the cute, cuddly look hides a very wild temperament, but that's one sad animal for sure, I'm out of points for today sadly, it would have been a big green!

Very expressive photo. It made me sad to see such a beautiful animal in what appears to be such a small cage. The expression in his/her eyes are just kills me. Great shot.
