Photographer's Note

Corfe Castle, in my opinion, is one of the most beautiful sites in Dorset. It just suddenly appears from around any bend or curve! To get a full view of the castle and its walls, one has to walk through fields and commons. On this particular day, the field was a bog to say the least, but it was well worth negotiating to get the series of shots I got of this stunning reminder of violent British history (Corfe was blown up by Oliver Cromwell).

Picture has only been sharpened slightly.
