Photographer's Note
Good Morning Everyone,
This is photograph of Corfe Castle Railway Station. It's a lovely station and feels to be in keeping with the old-world buildings in the village. I like that you are able to see the station sign on one of the posts.
You will be able to see the ruins of the castle in the background.
The Heritage Railway runs trains through the village of Corfe Castle and, if you are interested, I will show one of the steam trains approaching the station, as a workshop.
Have a good day, Bev :-)

The green painted rods, pipes and benches made the sight as vivid as posiible when the light was not best favorable, Beverley.
How nicely composed the station picture with the castle rises far and above.
Fine outcvome, bravo.

Hi Bev
Lots of interest here. The families preparing for a day out, Corfe Castle in the background, and the wonderful old stone of the railway station. Just a hint of the track draws the eye in and out.

Hello Bev,
There is a nice old time atmosphere here, thanks to the lack of modern details apart from people's clothes. Everything looks so neat and well maintained, which is probably only possible on a Heritage railway. I think you should also be grateful to the cloudy sky which produced very nicely mild colours.
The main focal points are found towards the right side of the photo, which you have balanced well by including the small group of travellers in the left corner.
The WS makes me wonder if the steam train would have just gone past Corfe Castle if the man hadn't been there to wave it down. :-)
Kind regards,
Gert

Hi Bev,
The presence of the persons is animating the scene. The point of view is showing the details of the Corfe Railways Station. There is a good contrast between the colors of the picture. Have a nice day.

Hi Bev,
This old stone built station makes a wonderful combination with castle ruins. Very stron feeling of good old times. I really like that cart and old suitcases as props. We haven't seen many railway related shots lately here. So thanks for this and the WS.

Hello Beverley,
Such a charming little railway station with elegant design. You captured it from a good angle, which also included the castle ruins. The green and yellow elements stand out very nicely in particular.

the building of the railway station looks more a old house than a station. a curious sample of architecture. nice view of the old train arriving. we have something similar in an historical city in minas gerais state, you could see it in the Ricardo page.
take care

Hi Bev
In the great rail expansion in England it seems every town landed up with a grand railway station. That also influenced station building here. A good photo of it.

Hello Beverley,
This railway station looks cozy and charming as in the good old days.
It's the perfect station to get off to visit the ruins on the hill further on. They're even nicely included in this picture.
I think it would be attractive to travel with the steam train from the WS.
Best regards, Paul

Hello Beverly
This is for sure a very nice picture of the 'Little Gingerbread Station', captured by the rules book for pleasing vertical lines on either side of frame and from a judicious diagonal angle displaying lot of perspective leading the attention towards the castle.
A lovely fantasy mood is expressed here!
Cheers

Hi Bev
A wonderful quaint scene. Not only we can appreciate the lovely station but also the castle ruins. Double delight! I really like the green details, they go so well with the colour of the stone building.
Love the photo of the train in WS, thanks for sharing that too.
Best wishes
Kasia
PS. Yes please remind me about the Big Garden Birdwatch! Hopefully I will be at home one day to do it.
I saw two pairs of lovely greenfinches and a chaffinch at my mum's feeders in Poland this winter. So nice too see these birds.

Dear Berverley,
This place looks like a scene from the Harry Potter or any fairy tale. It looks quite romantic to say the least. The building is very beautiful and we get a tiny details from the castle as well. The human presence is a nice addition.
Best Wsihes,
Gy.

Hello Beverly!
Without the people`s modern cloth and the wires, this could be a postcard from around 1900.
OOOPs, there was no color photography.
Here many fine details to view, I like especially these old suitcases.
Great shot,Very well seen and managed.

Hello Beverley, the green and yellow paintwork are attractive and make the stone built station stand out. Then of course we can see the castle in the distance which immediately informs us of where we are.
Taken from a good point of view, it looks great in the large version.
Kind regards, Jean.

Hello Bev,
This station is so charming and photogenic. The green and yellow trim all matches neatly, and the stone building is very pretty. It looks like it could be a movie set. :-) Take care!

Hi Bev
The diagonal railway track adds dynamism. Good inclusion of the ruined castle on the hill at top right, and the old stone cottage design of the train station is captivating. Tfs. Btw, Morocco was my first taste of the Sahara and Middle eastern deserts, and I wanted to see it and experience a camel ride up into the dunes with an overnight camp in a Bedouin tent. There wasn't all that much to see enroute but it was an experience worth doing once. In Wadi Rum in Jordan I switched to an air con 4wd. The desert scenery around the Nile was nothing like the spectacular dune scenes from the movie 'The English Patient'. Regards...

Hi Beverley
A superb composition captured from a wonderful point of view allowing one to capture as much of this great scene as possible and the castle as a backdrop. A storybook image that brings back the romance of steam train and your WS image shows the mighty working steamer. Fine capture and interest in depth, Congrats.
Best regards

Hi Bev.
A beautiful building, this railway station that seems to have been built with the same stone that we see in the castle ruins, as it is in harmony with it, which we see behind it.
Sharpness, lighting, color, and the magnificent composition; they are all perfectly realized factors, in this precious image.
Well done. I like it a lot.
You have a good day.
Very best regards.
Luis.

Hi Bev,
nice series of photos within the railway theme.
The station seems charming, old and elegant. Further we see the ruins as well.
People bring in some color with their jackets.
Very nice reportage,

Hello Beverley,
I like how this photo you composed with an interesting train station and castle ruins in the background.
I suppose that there are not many buildings of this type that still serve people.
The passengers added life and color to this photo. Well done in good quality.
Best regards,
Zbigniew
