Photographer's Note

Almost full moon rising above the fast food, beer and other commerce tents of Montreux Jazz Festival.

The festival happens every year in July. First time it was arranged in 1967 and original scope has widened from jazz to blues, rock, soul etc.
The event is sort of victim of it's own success. As Montreux is squeezed between hill slopes and Lake Geneva, there aren't any large open air venue available. And main concerts tend to be sold out long time before a casual traveller even thinks about going there. But nevertheless it's fun to wander around the lakeshore and see gigs of less famous bands on smaller stages.
