Photographer's Note

Vines of Lavaux in stand-by during this interminable winter, awaiting the first steps of spring to reappear with the life.

Lavaux is located in the canton of Vaud, in the heart of the French-speaking Switzerland. This wine area extends on a surface of almost fourteen kilometers at the edge of the lake Léman. It enjoys a moderate climate which gives him a Mediterranean character. The vineyard surprises the visitor by his strong slope and the harmony of its famous "balconies". These terraces covered with stocks and supported by solids walls of stones are the characteristic of this area. The vineyard of Lavaux counts 830 hectares and 8 controlled labels of origin and vintages. It produces mainly very fruity, dry and heady chasselas with the subtle flavours.
