Photographer's Note

Following with this series about this amazing race called "La Patrouille des Glaciers". Here we are in the "Col de Riedmatten" (3000m), the racers go up slowly: first, the uphill is hard; second, there are a lot of people...is not here we you can find a calm mountain, silence and only the sing of the wind blowing. Here you can hear: "Argh...I can't, I can't...","Came on, came on!...","Don't push, don't push!","Make attention with your ski!"...
In any way, is incredible what they do. Hat off for all this racers.

Hello Javier,

Une superbe photo d illustration de la realite de la patrouille des glaciers. La courbe dessinée par les 2 files de skieurs est vraiment attractive visuellement et en meme temps tres graphique. Ces silhouettes se detachent tres bien sur le fond blanc neigeux.
De mon point de vue, cette photo aurait bien sa place dans une revue.

Hello Javier,an excellent composition with the skiers trudging up the mountain.
I do wonder, how many more there are off camera?
It looks really hard work with very little space to manoeuvre as they go up.
I like the way that the snow merges with the framing,leaving us with just the lines of skiers.

Beautiful. It is king of graphical and it contained people in the same time. I ena, there is a graphical effect given by the picture form being far . Being close up, give a lot of details about the race.Geraldine

ESta foto no deja de tener cierta coña, o si la cojo por otro lado, y siendo tú cinéfilo como yo, no sé por qué, pero me trade a la cabeza "Ran" de Kurosawa, de verdad que no sé por qué, un psicoanálista igual tendría algo que decir al respecto ;-)

Well done for getting this shot. It shows an extraordinary scene with all of the racers bunched together. Also there is a nice diagonal line created here.

Muy interesante esta imagen que nos muestras, sin duda con escasos elementos has logrado crear un trabajo altamente llamativo, la composición es muy acertada, no tengo más remedio que felicitarte por todas tus fotografías de alta montaña.
