Photographer's Note

Some viewers will find this image too dark. The color balance and brightness of this image are very sensitive. I have 3 monitors, all are "calibrated" and the image appears correctly on 2 of them but is too dark on the 3rd. If it is too dark on your screen, try to increase the brightnees of your monitor. It really is a striking image with the right brightness.

Recently the PhotoClub of Neuchatel was asked by the Neuchatel Jardin Botanique to participate in a photo exposition to be held in October. Wanting to get a head start on my fellow club members, I hopped on my bicycle and rode up to the jardin to take a few winter scene photos.

The image shown here was taken in late afternoon; which is what gives it the rich blue background. The only adjustments I made were slight changes with an exposure layer. The hue/saturation where not altered from the original. The image was taken in a grove of fruit trees, but I'm not sure what type; apple, plum, or cherry being the most likely choices.
