Photographer's Note

The photo is showing Talvatis lake in Jokkmokk. Jokkmokk is located only a few kilometres above the Arctic Circle.

Minutes before I took this photo the sky was extraordinary, but I didn't get there in time, hence the title. I'll be taking lots more winterscape photos these coming months.

Nice view of an arctic region. Great capture of an (shall i say) impending snowstorm? Are those footprints yours? Good POV and composition as well. Nice shot.

une très jolie carte postale de l'hiver avec un plongeon toale dans l'ambiance froide de cet endroit. Une très bonne capture de ces lumières qui ne sont pas des plus faciles.

Nice composition and POV, (Been there chasing sunsets and arriving too late!!!latest was last Tuesday as I sped across country roads trying to get to an elevated view point, the clouds rolled in faster than I could drive and the moment was gone...)
Think on this one you got the white balance wrong, that's whats giving you the blue cast to the snow (prob cus you were rushing). If you took the shot in raw it's an easy fix.

midwinter should look like this a shady landscape frost filled and low light.
I dont mind the darkness in ythe picture.
