Lilla Bommen

Here's my second picture from Göteborg (Gothenburg), Sweden. It shows you a part of the harbour, called Lilla Bommen.

Lilla Bommen is a guest harbour in Göteborg, that is owned by the amusement park Liseberg. It's located between Skanskaskrapan or Läppstiftet (the Lipstick), Barken Viking and Göteborgs Operan.

Skanskaskrapan is the high building you can see on this picture. The people of Göteborg call it Läppstiftet (the Lipstick). It's used as an office building, but on top there's a view point that offers a great view over Göteborg (photos from that place soon!), called GötheborgsUtkiken. The building is 86 meter high and built around 1990.
Barken Viking is the big ship next to Läppstiftet. This ship was built in 1906 in Copenhagen, but is now used as a hotel and is also property of Liseberg.
I will show you a photo Göteborgs Operan, the modern opera-building of Göteborg later.

As you can see another great day with wonderful weather, only the light was quite fierce and the shadows quite dark, so hard to handle with sometimes.
I'm going to make a travelogue of my time in Göteborg, I think I have enough photos from it to upload. :-) Visit it here: Några dagar i Göteborg. In the story of the travelogue you can read more about the city as well as its history.
I hope you like this one!
