Photographer's Note
First...when I took this photo the sunlight was SUPER strong, hence the haze in the air. I tried to remove it in post processing, but then the photo looked far too fake, so I kept this this way.
There is another version in the WS, maybe I should have posted that as the main?
Are you tired of the restrictions from your local government? I know I am, this Covid thing has been going on for too long. Don't get me wrong...i still wear the mask, I have had 3 vaccine shots, its just seeming to be going on forever.
Anyways, when I was reviewing my shots from Spain, social distancing came to mind when I viewed this.
Stay safe everyone

Hi Craig
Our governments have given up control and just letting COVID rip. My 3rd jab is on Tuesday and most people are still wearing masks.
A good photo with that slight misty effect from pre-COVID times.
cheers

Hello Craig,
It's not easy to choose between the two photos. They are both good, for slightly different reasons, but maybe the tighter crop and the inclusion of bushes on the left side, plus the lady in pink more centrally positioned, makes me prefer the WS.
Best wishes,
Gert

HI Craig,I prefer the main photo even if the WS is not bad either. A symbolic photo to talk about this terrible pandemic again, I am also very fed up, I have to check that customers have the green pass obtained from the vaccination and it is practically impossible, so I live in terror of having checks and fines, moreover half the country is at home in quarantine and very little work ... from tomorrow vaccination obligation for over 50s and all workers, the government is finally waking up. Have a nice Sunday and thanks,Luciano

Hi Craig,
Nice series of photos which you used as a seed for discussion on social distancing.
I agree with you: I had three Covid jabs, and I am happy to take more, I am wearing the mask. However, as a scientist I know the governments are just a bunch of uneducated people who sadly don't even pick their advisors well. I have recently seen the movie "Don't look up" ist is about other type of scientists but it shows how they are treated by governments.
Anyways, it is all ridiculous. Especially frustrating when I know better then people who make rules.
Luckily British government is recently slowing down with the restrictions a bit. I am particularly worried about the international travel...

Hi Craig,
Are these steps on the path to Montjuïc? I wish I had taken such a shot myself. Haze doesn't matter. Obviously the sky would have been white on this case. Yes, Covid restrictions annoy me. Especially as it so cold outside I wish indoor activities would be less restricted.

Hi Craig,
The suite of street lights is giving dynamism to the scene. The point of view is showing the details of the stairs. A good mangement of the strong light which does not hurt the colors output. Have a nice day.

Hello Craig,
I think that for everyone Covid to long is present, but I am very afraid, see my age!
I use everyday ppf2 mask, notwithstanding also I got three vaccines.
Excellent details too, with perfect image of distancing.
Pleasant sharp and clear presentation.
Very well done, TFS
Have a nice day,

Hello Craig,
Realized the WS photo was taken minute before the main post. Nonetheless, both showing the stairs and the surrounding in sharp and clear manner. The presence of the lady walk down has strong effect on the whole. Only after few times, as I was reviewing the elegant lamp, saw the guy sitting on the right side looking at his cell-phone...
Have a nice sunday,
Ike

Hi Craig
Social distancing! It's the stunning contre jour lighting effect make this shot totally gorgeous. The eye-popping figs and colours lend this shot an extra twist - double bonus for that! You've captured the refinement and graceful with a strong feel, thumbs up to your skillful technique.
Best regards

Hi Craig
The photo is not so bad and those steps work well in the composition, as well as the zoom effect.

Hello Craig, I do not remember these stairs in Barcelona. strange that there are few people. Barcelona is overcrowded.
Of course, I am very tired of the restrictions. And I wear mask, I was vaccinated three times. I wish the normal times return. But will it ever happen?
In spite of it, I can't complain. Even in Covid time made in 2021 three wonderful trips: Zanzibar, Greece and Egypt. Not so bad.
Excellent picture. I love stairs.
take care
Best regards MAlgo

Hello Craig, the perfect title for this splendid pair of shots.
The haziness does not trouble our view.
I don't recall this flight of steps in Barcelona, where was this please?
Tired of restrictions? Yes!
Kind regards, Jean.

Same feelings about covid here, Craig, and a shot well worth the post. The strong light creates a lovely haze and it coming from the back also accentuates the central figure on the stairs. Great!

I like both of these equally. And sorry to disagree, but I just LOVE this haze. It reminds of mist and mist is so my thing.
Indeed, you could almost say this was taken in the times of social distancing. Except at that time you would say "how lovely there were no crowds around at the time I took this photo". These days you would say "I miss the pre-covid crowds".
Yes, I'm tired of ever-changing restrictions. I travel between Poland and UK once, sometimes twice a month so just imagine. One day I need to show my vaccination certificate, another day a test, yet another some new requirement, 10 day, 14 day, 3 day quarantine... Phew. Once I'm at home I don't care so much and get on with it but it's the stress of potentially not being able to travel to my mum's or return home that really gets me. And UK couldn't have chosen a worse time to leave the EU!
Have a nice week

Hello Craig,
Sensation shot. I like your note too. On the other hand have you considered a BW conversion? I think it would be a punching BW shot. :)
Best Wishes,

Hello Craig,
Social distancing is a problem!
Like you, I still wear a mask indoors and have had my three jabs but, yesterday, I went to a gathering in our Community Centre where there were lots of people having a thoroughly good time. The room was well ventilated and we all sanitised our hands before entry. Fingers crossed!
Your photograph certainly shows social distancing. The repeating steps seem to emphasise the distance between them! We are aware of the haze but, to me, it just adds to the atmosphere.
Your w/s is very much more symmetrical but not necessarily better.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)
