Photographer's Note

This shot has been taken during my wonderful day spent in Mijas, a small town located in the province of Málaga. I was impressed of all the streets we were walking there and lots of fantastic flower pots outside the houses which make the places really charming!

Hello Gosia,
A nicely lit composition full of charm and character. I like the light and shadow contrasts and the feeling of depth created by the rising steps and plan pots. The feline guardian completes a very pleasant image.

C'est le genre de photo que ma conjointe prends en voyage. Aussitôt qu'elle voit un chat ou un chien, il faut qu'elle le prenne en photo.Le cadrage est excellent.

a delightful composition and wonderful mix of elements, lines and colours. Love the cat and his interest in what is out of shot makes the image compelling and effective. I know Mijas really well as I have friends living there, it is a stunning little town.

A few years ago , i've never really understood the reason , the pictures with cats were deleted on TE . May be one of the moderators was allergic to this animal ;) . Fortunatly , that is not the case now . And we can appreciate this charming composition , with a subtile management of the difficult light , and an excellent use of the DOF .

il gatto è simpatico, il titolo della foto anche, come l'angolo di Andalusia che tu hai ripreso e che riflette lo spirito della popolazione che ama il sole e i colori brillanri oltre che la natura che si esprime anche nei fiori delle quali le case andaluse sono ricche.
Con la scusa di questo soggetto particolare hai rappresentato l'ingresso di una casa di questa regione e lo hai fatto in maniera discreta e con colori molto delicati.

Czesc Gosiu,
znakomicie skadrowana scena z bardzo uroczym kotkiem i nastrojowym swiatlem.Do tego same schody oraz te kwiaty poustawiane na schodach tworza naprawde piekna scenerie do tego zdjecia.
Od razu przypomnial mi sie Dubrownik,gdzie rowniez bylo bardzo duzo kotow.Wylegiwaly sie sloncu wszedzie np. na lawkach,przed sklepami(probowalem tez zrobic jekies dobre ujecie,ale tamte koty nie pozowaly z taka gracja i checia jak ten:)
Naprawde urocza kompozycja!

A good upward pov on the warm toned red brick stairs with good sharpness and superb use of a shallow dof. Excellent shadow detail and the fg cat makes a good focal point. The row of colorful potplants at right is a nice addition. Tfs!

Nice use of line to create the background and I like the way the DOF fades as your eye follows up the steps. The intensity of the cat's stare and the light on its face is really attention grabbing.

ta prise de vue avec ce cadrage est intéressante, le chat en bas, et l'on voit tout l'escalier avec la perspective que tu as su donner pour le mettre en valeur

Benim en çok sevdiğim hayvan KEDİ.
Çiçekler ve merdivenlerin eşliğinden çok güzel bir kompozisyon elde etmişsin.

Hello Gosia,

what a beautiful cat picture. This reminds me of my own cat, who did not return from an excursion four years ago. Unfortunately, such things happen when you live in a wooded area with bears, wolverines and lynx.

Yes, this cat is really very vigilant. You see it in her eyes and the tense posture.

A very nice picture with beautiful colors and a likeable protagonist. Very well captured!
