Photographer's Note
Miravet's castle is considered to be the best example of Templar military architecture of Catalonia.
In Miravet's castle can observe remains of the Moslem work as well as contributions of the "taifa" and Almoravid period, and though it was thinking that most of the most significant construction was corresponding to the work of the Templars, excavations and actions realized by the Government of Catalonia indicate that most of the construction is Islamic, though later it was reformed by the Templars who, for example, lined with regular masonry the top enclosure or Sobirà (sovereign).
The Templars did of Miravet's castle one magnificently and innovative castle- convent, of authentic crossed spirit, inspired probably by the Islamic ribats and the Syrian and Byzantine fortresses. Nevertheless, its height and work denote an evident influence of the Cistercian Provençal style, rigorously, austerly and soberly according to the Sain Bernard's ideal ones.
This photo is taken inside the parade ground of the castle, on a wall that was receiving the warm solar light of the late afternoon at summertime, which was offering me an interesting contrast with the clean blue sky, with the big shade, and a nice graphical effect of its loopholes. Already I have presented other photos of this magnificent castle previously.
I hope that you like.

Hola Josep
This wall is very attractive, mainly thanks to the wonderful light that reveals the texture of the stones. The blue sky and the ochred fit perfectly together.
I like the shade which gives relief and offers an additional layer.
Simple but striking composition, compliments.

Karine

Hola Josep,

Hello Josep,
You play wonderful with light and shade, also the blue sky is a nice contrast against the light color of the wall.
Also nice perspective through your good angle choice.
Composition and presentation be superb.
Very well done, TFS.
Best regards,
John.

Bonjour Josep,
Jean-Charles

Hola Josep,
nice the view of the wall of the castle with the warm afternoon light to bring out the details of its construction.I like the sharpness and the clarity of the scene as the excellent light management with the parts of the fallen shadow to make the image more effective.Well done my friend.

Hi Josep,
very attractive simplistic composition. I like the light and the play of the shade on the wall. The photo is clasically divided into three regions here they all have something in comon with the neighbouring layer.
Very well seen and captured,

Hola my friend Josep
A simple picture, but nicely conceived & executed. The layers work well, of the shadowed part, the sunlit part of the stone wall & the blue sky! Good exposure control & good details on the wall!
Best Regards

Hola Josep.
Luis.

Hello Josep,
This ancient wall is captured under such a contrasting lighting that gives an opportunity to compare how the wall looks like when it is illuminated with direct and diffused sunlight. A very good presentation of this historic place!
Best regards,
Sergiy
