Photographer's Note

I can't resist to post another pic of this beautiful museu from a different point of view made to a few feet behind my PREVIOUS POST , I hope you will like it.
The Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya, abbreviated as MNAC, is the national museum of Catalan visual art located in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. Situated on Montjuïc hill at the end of Avinguda de la Reina Maria Cristina, near Pl Espanya. The museum is especially notable for its outstanding collection of romanesque church paintings, and for Catalan art and design from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, including modernisme and noucentisme. The Museum is housed in the Palau Nacional, a huge, Italian-style building dating to 1929. The Palau Nacional, which has housed the Museu d'Art de Catalunya since 1934, was declared a national museum in 1990 under the Museums Law passed by the Catalan Government. That same year, a thorough renovation process was launched to refurbish the site, based on plans drawn up by the architects Gae Aulenti and Enric Steegmann, who were later joined in the undertaking by Josep Benedito. The Oval Hall was reopened in 1992 on the occasion of the Olympic Games, and the various collections were installed and opened over the period from 1995 (when the Romanesque Art section was reopened) to 2004. The Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya (MNAC) was officially inaugurated on 16 December 2004.

TRA COLONNE E CASCATE

Non ho resistito nel postare un'altra foto di questo stupendo palazzo,scattata qualche passo indietro rispetto al mio PRECEDENTE POST ,spero che vi piaccia.
Il Museo d'Arte Nazionale Catalana (MNAC) è senza dubbio la pinacoteca più completa dedicata all'arte catalana; al suo interno sono esposte opere di tutte le tendenze artistiche, dal romanico alle avanguardie più recenti. Creato nel 1880 nella cappella di Santa Agata, con il nome di Museo d'Antichità, nel 1934 è stato spostato all'interno del Palau Nacional, dove si trova tuttora.
Le opere contenute nel museo sono numerosissime; dalle pitture alle fotografie, dalle collezioni di disegni e stampe d'epoca a quella di monete e medaglie. La parte dedicata all'arte romanica e barocca è senza dubbio la più "catalana", mentre le opere barocche e rinascimentali vedono un continuo richiamo internazionale ad artisti stranieri e spagnoli. Nelle sale dedicate al modernismo e alle avanguardie le opere tornano ad essere quasi esclusivamente catalane.
Interessante la parte dedicata alla documentazione, diffusione e conservazione dei reperti storici contenuti nel museo. Infine ricordiamo che il Palau Nacional, con la sua figura molto imponente, è situato di fronte a Plaça Espanya, ai piedi del Montjuic, bellissima collina che domina Barcellona e dalla quale si può osservare tutta la città ed il porto.

Une vue différente , mais peut être encore plus belle , de ce majestueux monument , avec les colonnes au premier plan . Un grand soin dans le cadrage et la perspective , et un petit effet HDR qui me plait bien .

Hi Luciano,
one of the best pictures of the MNAC I´ve ever seen(I´ve tried to find also a new,original perspective,but I wasn´t succeed).You did great job here,especially with the processing the image in HDR.It gives a nice,warm touch to the scene,so even the cloudy weather do not spoil the view.

Hello Luciano,
The upwards point of view emphasises the height of the columns, which make a great frame for the background building. The golden tones of the architecture contrast nicely with the blues of the sky. First class technical presentation with excellent light, colours and clarity.

Hello Luciano,
As someone else noted, I also don't remember to have seen these columns. So I googled some other pictures of the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya and surprisingly, some pictures show the colums while others don't ...
Anyway they make the scene completely different and very attractive. I also like the colour contrasts.

This really is an amazing composition, so many beautiful elements compete for attention. The main building, the vivid orange tones, the sky and of course those beautiful columns all combine to make this a stunner of a shot. Really nicely seen and done, I dont think you could get a better sky to present the scene against. Thanks indeed for sharing, this place is one I must see someday.

What a fantastic shot of this very interesting place.The viewpoint you have chosen makes a very dramatic scene with the waterfalls in the foreground and the four strong pillars. then looking through the pillars to the front facade of the domed building.Great light and colours make the perfect capture.

Bellissima 'sta foto con le quattro colonne che...non reggono un bel tubo! E allora a che cosa servono? Mah...stravaganze iberiche! O no? Da quando mio figlio ha trascorso l'intero inverno in Spagna, sono sempre più convinta che gli spagnoli siano MOLTO diversi dagli italiani. Buon per loro...Giusto?

A brilliant view of the complex at the point of this level and what a great feeling of space and immense depth. The symmetry really works, the repeat verticals and sharp clean edges of the structures combine to lead the eye deeper into the picture, and giving a sense of proportion too. Its beautiful delicate colouring stands out superbly against the sky, pin sharp throughout in superb clarity. Marvellous, it is certainly worth being up there and I can share your feel. Congrats

La distance entre les colonnes et le musée donne de la profondeur à l'image. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails et les couleurs des colonnes et du musée. Les fontaines ont un effet spécial sur la composition. Bonne soirée.

Well worth all the praise it has already received, Luciano! A flawless POV with perfect settings to record both the gorgeous dome of the museum and the stopped movement of the fountains in front. The colors are bright and vibrant, and the gradiation from the water in the front of the shot is really beautiful with its rich oranges fading to yellow. A unique and lovely view - thanks!

What a display of color and architectural design, this is beautiful! I can see that it must have been a bit of a difficult decision to balance this composition, the lines don't quite add up correctly, but you've done a great job in making it work regardless. :) Unfortunately there are some things we just can't control!? Small detail aside, this has a great amount of visual appeal with some strong detail and very interesting subject matter. The symmetry is the first thing that caught my eye, but the biggest draw for me is the smooth and cloud filled sky. The slight gradient of colors with the clouds mixed in is captivating and pulls this all together quite nicely. Great shot! Thanks for sharing the view. Have a good day ahead.

The Greco Italian influence spreads far and wide throughout southern Europe, from England to Turkey to Spain and Portugal as well as north Africa. It wasn't called the Roman Empire for nothing! Lovely framing of the 3 bg spires with fantastic sharpness and good color contrasts between the blue grey sky and honey coloured stone. Tfs!
