Les rives rouges du lac d'Estaens , ou encore ibon de Astanes , puisque ce lac de montagne se situe juste à la frontière entre le France et l'Espagne , mais sur le territoire espagnol.rnA 1754 mètres d'altitude , sa superficie est de 29 ha . Au fond , c'est le Pic de Gabedaille (2258 m).

Hello Denis,
The red shores of the lake have a marvellous warm tone that create a great contrast to the green surroundings. The hills and clouds are perfectly reflected in the water. This is yet another stunning scenery you came across on your treks. The photo is technically as fine as ever.

Hello Denis,
The composition is well considered resulting in a pleasantly balanced image. But, what strikes most are the light and the stunning colours. Sharpness is beyond reproach. A delightful scene beautifully captured.

Ce sont les couleurs qui ressortent en premier dans ce très beau paysage surtout au niveau de la terre presque rouge autour du lac. Le vert aussi est inhabituel.

Je me souviens y être allé, le niveau de l'eau semble très bas et découvre les rives rouges (il y a du fer dans le sol!) qui contrastent avec le vert de la végétation et le bleu du ciel. Une bonne rando!

This is a beautiful scene!
The colours are rich and the composition is exquisite.
The channel makes a natural guide into the scene where the lake reflects the mountains, the sky and the clouds, like a mirror.
It's a photographer's dream!

it doesn't get much better than this. love the overall look of the scene because it has a lot of flow, movement, curves, and then the large mountain in the bg. you even captured the cloud reflections on the water surface. Super sweet exposure and lighting. wonderful. cheers

Les reflets sur le plan d’eau la terre presque rouge qui se découpe quelle vu quel beua lac dans un décor de rêve du bleu et blanc en milieu en reflet du ciel fantastique vue.

Bonnjour Denis,
spectacular natural landscape. I love the multitude of colors especially less usual red tones. I like the good saturation and yet everything kept so natural. The reflection of course adds a strong impact here.
