Here is another shot taken at the Plaza de España, Seville. The complex is decorated with azulejos, painted ceramic tiles that are popular in Seville and can be found all across the city. Here is a detail of one of the bridges on square decorated with colorful azulejos.

This is a fine shot, capturing the artistic details of the bridge with excellent clarity, perfectly composed and very nicely balanced against the b/g building.

One of the features I noticed in both Spain and Portugal was their use of decorative tile outside.

The Plaza de España in Seville is truly one of those places where you can spend hours with the camera unearthing lots of different points of view and some wonderful interesting details. This composition is truly beautiful. Thoughtfully composed and with superb colours and clarity. First class technical realisation. Wonderful!

Fabulous contrast of blue & white onto the brown edifice of the Plaza de Espanea.
Exquisite details shown, and the place has many attractive corners to enjoy photography.
Well used the favorabnle daylight.
We were here on a 40C day in 6/1998.

Finalement, la belle place d'Espagne de Seville est aussi belle de jour comme de nuit. Tu as su trouver un point de vue original et spectaculaire. J'aime beaucoup le contraste des couleurs.

Hi Godia,
Really, really nicely chosen composition, the fine building is superb, but you have added so much to it by including this beautifully and contrasting colored blue balustrade. The detail of both parts of the image are fantastic and the balustrade seems to draw the wondful blue sky down into the ground. Classically beautiful and elegant picture.

La Plaza de España is a very special place in Sevilla where you can take masses of wonderful pictures.
I also like this one very much. You show us here clearly and pin sharp the famous azulejos with a strong presence of the magnificent architecture on the background.
The Spanish flag waves proudly on top of the building.
Wonderful colours, luminosity and composition.

Attractive combination - the ornate azulejos in the foreground, then the impressive Seville classical architecture background. With every inch of the railing decorated and complex column designs. Truly a historical gem.

Hello Gosia,

Some lovely Portuguese style architecture here in Spain with good sharpness and a marvellous blue and white ceramic sculpture atop the equally decorated blue and white fence. Excellent sharpness and the red building at right contrasts superbly against the blue sky. The yellow post at left enhances the hot cold color contrast. Tfs!
