Hi Tomi,
Nice treatment you gave to the picture. I like the dark round borders once it brings the attention to what really matters on the picture. B&W works perfectly here and composition is quite nice. I'm just curious to know what the kid was doing at this abandoned place. I preffer the original version to the WS.
Cheers,
Flavia

This one is good but I still prefer
the WS one! It's difficult to decide...
Btw, the 40D is funny!

An interesting experiment Tomi. I had a look at the previous one and that one looks better the way you posted it, without the vignetting.
I think with this one, the image is given more impact by the massive level of vignetting; the tunnel vision effect creates a barrier between the viewer and the image, almost as if we're looking the wrong way through a pair of binoculars.
The use of black and white suits the feeling of decay and deriliction that this conveys, and the anonymous child makes us wonder what's going on.
An interesting shot, I like it.
Cheers,
Ben

Zdravo Tomi!

It looks like you were spying on the boy - what is he doing? You are having serious fun with this Tomi and I'm so glad you are sharing your experiments with us. As for the WS - What if I want vodka?

Hej Tomi,
Great capture from this abandoned building. The B&W suits this place very nicely. The boy is also a great inclusion, I'm curious about what he's doing. I like the black framing also very much. Good work, thanks for sharing!

Hi Tomi,
You really are teasing us here! I like the second WS best...Seriously, although I find this shot quite effective I prefer the first WS, which has a cleaner look with the boy somehow a little more prominent. The B&W works well overall, and I like the contrast in theme between the youth and the decaying ruins of the building. Very fine work, Tomi. A good weekend to you.

Ciao Tomi,
Bravo, in ogni caso!
Ciao e stammi bene!

Excellent compo, those ruins are very impressive. They remind me of something, a film--maybe the Stalker by Andrei Tarkovsky ? Anyway there is a very artistic and interrsting photo.

Hi Tomi - well first of all the experiment here seems to work, I like this 'vignette' effect that the EF-S lens creates on the film camera.
As for the 40D - I really think you need to go to Canon with that idea! It has everything the photographer could ever want in one camera body! :)

Hi Tomi,
the combination of the devistated building and the boy doing his secret things is irrisistable and intruiging.
Good choise for black and white and excellent exposure.
Great shot.

Hello Tomi.
There is something very interesting about the vignetting...also as if the shot is ancient and we are peeking through to a world far in decay. B&W is great here...super contrast. I like the sky blown out...it adds to the distant and somewhat cold feeling of the photo.
Regards,
Chris.

Hi Tommi, i like this shot a lot. I did a photographic course and did something similar only in color though. I like how you have captured the moment thru the round borders and which gives a different perspective to what you have achieved here also the clarity is perfect. I also like the b&w pov of the ruins through the round border which otherwise from a landscape pov may have been somewhat less attractive. Great compo!!
warm regards
