Photographer's Note

St. Michael's Tower is one of essential symbols of Bratislava. Only the gate on St. Michael's Tower has been preserved out of the original four gates that were gateways for entering the fortified medieval city. Currentlyan exhibition of weaponry and city fortifications of the Bratislava City Museum is on display in the tower. A zero kilometre, which counts the distance of selected cities in the world from Bratislava, is located under the tower. A view of the entire rest of St. Michael's Street (Michalská ulica), which is one of the oldest in the city, opens up from St. Michael's Gate.

Hello Daniel,

I like how well you have used the buildings and features, creating a pathway from the balcony, diagonally across the frame to the strongly placed tower.
The light and the shadows play an important part in setting the scene.

I like how this location is used as Ground Zero for the city.
and is it just me, or does that clock have 2 different times on it? Just curious :) fine light, fine colors, very old buildings carrying so much history and stories. well presented vertically as usual. cheers

It's hard to forget that tower, but strangely I don't remember this view. You found a place where the view is well filled with architectural features at different angles and of different styles and colours. Light and contrasts are very nice.

Very nice picture, I like Bratislava (Pozsony) very much, it has a lot of Hungarian history. Crag noticed that the clock shows different time. I checked my 2011 picture of this tower, and the clock shows different time on it also. My picture is not as good as this, still I decided to post it now.
