Photographer's Note

Predmier is a village in Bytča District in the Žilina Region of Slovakia. It has a population of 1,350 people.

The center of the village is the late-Gothic building of the Church of St. Gála, which dates back to 1799. It was built on the site of an older sacral wooden building from the 14th century. Its tower comes from an older building dating back to the 1600s. Various corrections have recently been made to the church, whether it was interior decoration, a new facade or, last but not least, a roof repair.

Hello Piotr,
You have captured a fantastic light, or almost lack of light, in this photo. The view itself is quite beautiful, with the church in the centre of the village among the trees, but it is the strange light that makes the photo special. It has a remarkable dark softness, only on the side of the church and the tower there is a small area of bright light.

Hi Piotr,

The wideness of the field is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details of the church and of the houses. The gray sky is giving a good contrast to the colors. Have a nice day.
