Photographer's Note

Jaram iznad prozora.

The yoke above the window.

A yoke is a wooden device used to harness oxen.
A bullock cart is a cart with two or four wheels pulled by oxen. It is a means of transportation that has been used since ancient times in many parts of the world. It is still used today where motor vehicles cannot move.
An ox-cart, which is specially used to transport goods, is pulled by one or more oxen.
Carts for oxen are most often attached with a chain or rope to the yoke, in which the oxen are harnessed.
We have wooden yokes left, as a reminder of the times when oxen pulled carts.
