Vrana (лат. Corvus) je siroko rasprostranjeni rod ptica, porodice vrane (Corvidae). Latinski naziv roda Corvus u prevodu znaci „gavran”.
Tree with crow's nests.
A view of a large tree with crows making nests.
The crow (lat. Corvus) is a widespread genus of birds, the family of crows (Corvidae). The Latin name of the genus Corvus means "raven". In Europe, the name "crow" is used to denote a black crow and a gray crow. Crow species (Corvus) make up one third of the total number of crow species (Corvidae). The genus Crow has been shown to have evolved in Asia within the crow family, which evolved in Australia.
Crows are in the range of sizes of relatively small jackdaws. About 45 members of this genus occur on all continents. The genus Crow makes up one third of the species in the family Corvidae. The collective name of the crow group is flock. The genus name is the Latin word for raven.
Recent research has shown that some species of crows are capable not only of using tools, but also of constructing tools. Crows are among the most intelligent animals in the world, with an encephalization rate equal to that of many primates, not counting humans.

Hi Pavle
Wonderful bare branches and their shapes with those birds in the upper branches really steal the eye. The brown roof tiles give that little punch of colour. Excellent obseravtion

Zdravo Pavle,
Ovde ste dobro uhvatili njihovo jato.
M

Hello Pavle,
It's an impressive view of the many crows sitting in the trees. The trees themselves are also very attractive with the fine patterns created by the branches. The red roof makes a fine contrast to the grey dominance.
Best regards,
Gert

Hello dear Pavle
have a nice day for today
the weather is too bad in
our countries the last days...
we are in the heart of the winter
and the summer is far away...
lets hope that the next days
the temperature will be higher
and the weather will be better

Hello Pavle,
Your notes make reference to the intelligence of these birds, which is absolutely true. It is believed that because they live in big family groups, they have evolved a 'language' to communicate. Several different utterances have been identified.
The winter trees make a lovely, lace-effect across the sky, with the birds scattered amongst the patterns. The inclusion of the roof does add depth and an orientation.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)
