Snowy mountains, a photo from Brasov, East

Photographer's Note

The charm of the Romanian landscape consists of tiny villages scattered across hills and mountains, surrounded by nature. They create a wonderful background for landscape photography during each season. I particularly love photographing such views during winter because snow is spread all over and the roofs of the houses are white. What is missing from this photo is the usual haystack that is omnipresent in the Romanian countryside, but I was lucky enough to catch a rather sunny day so I hope the clear blue sky makes up for it.

Beautiful photo from one of my favourite countries! I experienced this kind of winter in Romania twice in 2012 first in the Bucegi and then the Apuseni. I even have photos of haystacks in snow! :-)
The light and the weather conditions in your image are a photographer's dream. You made a great use of the fence to build your composition around a diagonal line.

Hi Iulia. Very attractive composition in which the fence decreases in the distance and creates a triangle together with the snow covered hill on the left. The light is special and tints everything with a warm glow.I think I ca see haystacks to the left of the second house. Best wishes. Klaudio.

Bonjour Lulia,

C'est la première fois que je visite ta galerie. Je ne pouvais pas faire autrement avec la qualité de cette photo. Quel beau paysage enneigé avec le vent en prime et de beaux nuages bien bas.

Hello Lulia,

Great point of view and composition: the
diaginal lines of the fence (and the layers
of the area) creates a lots of depth in the
picture and the vertical position emphasize
that extra. The light management is also
great.
