Photographer's Note
Once, the fountains and the wells used to be the pride of the village. They were found at every crossroad and people would gather around them, sitting on benches and debating the news or the village's new gossip while taking a bucket of fresh water.
Today, as modern canalisation brought water into every home, all fountains were abandoned. Most of them are sealed with cement and don't have the upper wooden part which sustains the wheel. This is the only one still standing although the water level is very low and it is not considered drikable.
