Photographer's Note

Jurilovca (Russian: Журиловка; Unirea from 1983 to 1996) is a commune in Tulcea county, Dobrudja, Romania. It is composed of three villages: Jurilovca, Vişina and Sălcioara (6 Martie during the Communist era and until 1996).
It was founded by Lipovans at the beginning of the 19th century; the first documentary attestation is from 1826. Although at its beginnings it was a small village, the settlement grew and become, at the end of 19th century, an important fishing center in Danube Delta area. Nowadays it has the biggest community of fishermen in Romania, and it has the most modern fish processing factory in the country and Eastern Europe.

A well composed image with lots to see. The boat makes an interesting and apt frame. I like the light and colours. Very good sharpness.

Bonjour Daniel,

Même si l'image semble un petit peu pencher sur la gauche elle a beaucoup de choses à montrer. La cheminée à l'avant plan donne beaucoup de profondeur à l'ensemble.

you hang around harbours and ports almost as much as me. Like the way you have composed this with nice fg interest, that anchors the view. Crap pun I know! ;-). It looks like and attractive little haven and you have captured its charm beautifully.

A nice view of the town with a very good light and mild colours. Maybe the nearest boat is slightly too dominant.

Interesting shot with the uneven shapes of the boats in the FG mirroring in some ways the uneven lines of the buildings in the horizon line.
