The Turtle-Doves, a photo from Prahova, East

Photographer's Note

This couple of turtle-doves use to make their nest under my roof, at the corner of the house. In fact, I have an electric lamp outside, a bulb mounted on some curved metallic pipe. They use it as a resting place and finally build their nest on it. Last evening I saw them sitting there, probably thinking what to begin with, and photographed them. I believe that one important reason for which they like my place is the presence of my dogs, that keep the cats away.

Did you used Auto or post processing? The photo looks noisy! I asked this because in case of Auto the camera uses a high ISO for this situation. With this lighting and distance I think it works 1/30 speed without tripod. Also try a bit of close up.

Hi Andreea,

This a fascinating shot taken under difficult conditions and when you first look at it you do not know what is up and down. Yes it is a bit noisy but the colors and sharpness is quite good. Well-done. Have a nice week!

Hi Andreea,
Interesting and possibly messy POV. Great details to this daily life beauty. I guess Pic feels the same way Gunner and Buddy do about cats. I have to look both ways to see that the horizon is free of cats before I can let them out.
