Manastirea Cheia, a photo from Prahova, East

Photographer's Note

Il Monastero Cheia, dedicato alla Santissima Trinità, si trova sulla riva destra del torrente Tampa, nella parte sud-est della città, nella contea di Prahova.
E'un monastero di monaci.
Situato al confine della Valacchia e la Transilvania, risale al 1770, quando i pastori di Brasov costruirono qui un eremo di legno, che venne però distrutto dai turchi nel 1777.
Un nuovo monastero fu costruito nel 1880, dedicato alla Vergine Maria, ma anche questo venne distrutto da un incendio nel 1832.
La chiesa attuale fu costruita nel 1835, su un terreno donato dal magistrato generale.
Si tratta di un edificio in stile tradizionale di montagna, dipinto in bianco semplice con portico aperto sostenuto da dieci colonne.
Ha tre torri, un grande nartece, una navata centrale, due torri e due portici molto piccoli.
Gli affreschi interni ed esterni sono stati realizzati dal pittore Nahum a Buzau tra il 1837 e il 1839.
Le icone all'interno sono opera del famoso pittore George Tattarescu.
Nel monastero si trovano le celle dei monaci, il campanile di pietra e mattoni, che ha sostituito il vecchio in legno e una cappella del cimitero, dedicata all'Assunta, edificata nel 1924.
Il monastero è stato restaurato più volte nel 1960 e nuovamente nel 1977 e 1986 dopo alcuni terremoti.

buen encuadre descentrado y en ligero contrapicado, que capta la interesante arquitectura del monasterio y la belleza del paisaje donde está ubicada.
La luz fuerte está bien controlada y los colores son muy naturales.

najprej se zahvaljujem za kritiko na fotografijo, ki sem jo namenil našemu prijatelju in vzorniku, ki ga bomo pogrešali. žal se kasneje ugotovil, da sem fotografijo objavil pred dvema dnevoma. umaknil sem jo in danes objavil drugo z enakim namenom.
arhitektura, ki je še nisem videl. mogočni stebri z arkadami so zelo zanimivi. lep pogled na ta biser!

Ho sempre guardato con meraviglia chi ha scelto la vita monacale.
Un monastero tipico ortodosso rispettoso dei dogmi del suo rito .
Tutto è un simbolismo .....da noi una nuova "estetica" ha fatto perdere rapporto fede -architettura .

I see that your travel to Romania was very fruitful. Plenty of fantastic places masterfully presented. Here the contrast is may be a bit too strong so that you loose a little the details of the church. Nevertheless the architecture is beautiful and really unique. The dark clouds behind the church make an excellent background. Wonderful postcard, thank you for sharing it,
