Hi Dear friends,

With the longest bridge in Europe, I finish this series of sunrise pictures.

In the WS, I show you a panoramic view of this bridge

The Vasco da Gama Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge flanked by viaducts and roads that spans the Tagus River near Lisbon, capital of Portugal. It is the longest bridge in Europe (including viaducts), with a total length of 17.2 km (10.7 mi), including 0.829 km (0.5 mi) for the main bridge, 11.5 km (7.1 mi) in viaducts, and 4.8 km (3.0 mi) in dedicated access roads. Its purpose is to alleviate the congestion on Lisbon's other bridge (25 de Abril Bridge), and to join previously unconnected motorways radiating from Lisbon.
The bridge was opened to traffic on March 29, 1998, 18 months after construction first began, just in time for Expo 98, the World's Fair that celebrated the 500th anniversary of the discovery by Vasco da Gama of the sea route from Europe to India.

A ponte Vasco da Gama é uma ponte sobre o rio Tejo, na área da Grande Lisboa, ligando o Montijo e Alcochete a Sacavém, muito próximo do Parque das Nações, onde se realizou a Expo 98. Inaugurada a 4 de Abril de 1998, a ponte é a mais longa da Europa e a quarta mais extensa de todo o mundo, com os seus 17,2 km de comprimento, dos quais 10 estão sobre as águas do estuário do Tejo. O vão (comprimento do tabuleiro) do viaduto central é de 420 metros. Foi construída a fim de constituir uma alternativa à ponte 25 de Abril para o trânsito que circula entre o norte e o sul do país na zona da capital portuguesa.
Aquando da sua construção foi necessário tomar especiais cuidados com o impacto ambiental, visto que atravessa o Parque Natural do Estuário do Tejo, uma importante área à escala europeia de alimentação e nidificação de aves aquáticas. Foi também necessário proceder-se ao realojamento de 300 famílias.
O nome da ponte comemora os 500 anos da chegada de Vasco da Gama à Índia, em 1498.
É uma das mais altas construções de Portugal, com 148 metros de altura.

Vasco da Gama Köprüsü Portekiz'in başkenti Lizbon'da bulunan Tejo Nehri'nin üzerinden geçen bir köprüdür. Viyadükler ve destek yollarla birlikte toplam uzunluğu 17,2 km'dir ve bu uzunlukla Avrupa'nın en uzun köprüleri arasındadır. bu uzunluğunun 0,829 km'si ana köprü, 11,5 kilometresi destek viyadükler ve 4,6 km'si bağlantı yollarıdır.

Most Vasco da Gama - najdłuższy most w Europie na rzece Tag, który spina brzeg rzeki w okolicach stolicy Portugalii, Lizbony (w miejscowości Sacavém) z miejscowością Montijo po drugiej stronie rzeki. Acho que é difícil tirar uma foto assim, não pelo jogo das luzes muito cedo de manhã, sinão pela hora do dia que você escolheu para tirá-la. A ponte está sozinha, não se pode ver nenhum carro passando por aí, e embora todo está iluminado. Você estava molhando-se os pés quando tirou a foto?

Deslumbrante!... PdV impecável, luzes e cores fantásticas. Tenho que ver se tb. começo a levantar-me de madrugada um dia ou outro para tentar a minha sorte. :-)
PS: Tens a certeza que é a ponte mais longa da Europa? tinha a sensação que só foi durante uns meses, até uma na Holanda ou Dinamarca ter sido finalizada.

Will suffice 30 minutes, and the afterwards every following minute gives other image insists with eyes. Already long ago I did not see so the magnificently prepared photo. All is here absolutely perfection: very good composition, splendid light, superb colours and their saturation. In every respect this photo is a masterly work. You know my Friend, I like very much sunsettings and accompanying them climates. However in the estimation I make for only with quality of the photo, and is this superb.

É uma pena que esta série tenha acabado pois estava a ser uma série de muito boa qualidade tal como o prova esta foto.
O pdv é classico mas a cores da manhã ainda sem sol e a luz por trás das nuvens criam um ambiante fantástico.
As luzes reflectidas na água são outro detalhes muito bom da foto, assim como a curva desenhada pela ponte que lhe dá muita profundidade.

Wow, again an exceptional catch from you. I like the clouds over the bridge and the colors together with the reflections. Although early in the morning with little light available you manages to catch the move of the waves and freeze the scene.

Impressive Aires. The bridge and your rendering of it. second, about this photo - absolutely fantastic, straight to MY favourites :) the saturated blue of the sky and its reflection in the water is a great background for what looks like a delicate contruction, like a necklase with little jewels. the simplicity of the composition focuses attention on the smooth line of the bridge, it does well with your note about it being the longest bridge in Europe. excellent work, my sincere compliments!
