Inoffensive cannon, a photo from Lisboa, South

Photographer's Note

From the Castelo de São Jorge the views over the city of Lisbon are spectacular, as you can see in this photo.
The good graphical effect of the urban pattern of the Baixa Pombalina, with the roofs of the houses and the Praça da Figueira at the left side, they were important factors for this framing, in which I added the cannon that seems to point at the city. Luckyly, this cannon is inactive and is inoffensive, only a historical recollection.

Desde el Castelo de São Jorge las vistas sobre la ciudad de Lisboa son espectaculares, como podéis ver en esta foto.
El buen efecto gráfico de la trama urbana de la Baixa Pombalina, con los tejados de las casas y la Praça da Figueira a la izquierda, eran factores importantes para este encuadre, en el que añadí el cañón que parece apuntar a la ciudad. Afortunadamente, este cañón está inactivo y es inofensivo, solamente un recuerdo histórico.

una Lisbona vista dall'alto con grande nitidezza, ottima gestione della luce e del colore che incanta con i suo fascino . A me piace la semplicità della composizione che lascia ampio spazio alla città, già bella di suo.
Come già detto la parte tecnica si contraddistingue per un ottimo livello.

I like this cityscape for its great high POV and this extra touch in the whole composition: the cannon and a small fragment of the wall. Great colors and contrast and excellent sharpness.

Greatest virtue of ultra wide combined by dynamic viewpoint is being able to emphasise foreground interest even small things assume a new significance and you'll still take in plenty of sky and the sweeping view of the low lying citycape with greater effect. The compo is astonishingly effective for the eye to fasten onto. A wonderful pict which is well exposed in natural diffused lighting with some strong contrasting tones and colours, but it is the bold red roofs and the depth that make it so appealing. Excellent superb camera work and I love the thought you've put into making this. Well dpone, TFS

Impressive Lisbon red roof-tops from Sao-Jorge castle balcony, a "must-visit" location with a beautifulscenery.
Rosio square is notable on left.
Nice included the cannon tip, gave some scale to the fine photo posted.

Hola Josep.
Soberbia panoramica que abarca muchos de los lugares famosos y encantadores de esta ciudad, me gusta el toque del cañon como apuntando a la ciudad, hace que esta panoramica sea diferente a otras muchas, son los toques personales que definen el gusto y buen hacer de cada fotografo.
Me gusta mucho esta suave luz y los colores pastel, hace que la imagen resulte como mas relajada.
Bonito trabajo amigo mio, que ahora nos ofreces con cuentagotas, pasan tantos dias que yo a veces me olvido de entrar en la pagina, de hecho esta la debiste poner muy tarde, pues ayer mientras escribia entre y no tenias nada nuevo, ya sabes que tengo que seguir tu pauta de publicacion para poder comentarte.
Disfrutar del fin de semana.

when i get the chance to visit Portugal and Lisbon, this POV is certainly on my list :)
you chose an excellent day and time of day to photograph the city from above.
the red rooftops are plentiful and stand out well.
lovely shot and view from up here, i've enjoyed gazing at the scene and architecture styles.
