Photographer's Note
View of Porto and neigbouring Vila Nova de Gaia, taken from the the "Clerics' Tower" in historic centre (the old quarter of Porto is declared World heritage site).
The clerics' church is interesting for it's architecture: an oval floor plan with a high tower in baroque style, being quite a unique example.
The city of Porto ('the port') is in the North of Portugal, and is notable for the beautiful architecture of it's buildings in the old quarter - many of these are abandoned, just waiting for restoration. The thin and steep narrow streets make it technically difficult and probably quite costly, though.
Gaia is a neigbouring new town on the other side of the river Douro, which separates the two. They're basically the same city, though.

Hi CA,
Beautiful capture of those lovely red rooftops, and teh positioning of the buildings really gives a feel for the winding streets below. I also really admire the wispy pastel sky.
Thanks for sharing and have a great weekend!
Noel
