Photographer's Note

In the horizon we have the chapel Nossa Senhora da Guia, its construction is therefore prior to the first half of the eleventh century and included thereafter to ensure a strong defense bar.

Vila do Conde (Portuguese pronunciation: [ˈvilɐ du ˈkõd(ɨ)]) is a city and parish in Portugal with a population of 25,731. Together with the urban parishes of Azurara and Arvore the urban area of the city has 32,094 in the estuary of the Ave river, in the north of Oporto metropolitan area in Portugal. This city and Póvoa de Varzim form a single urban conurbation area.
The municipality has 74,057 inhabitants in 30 parishes (freguesias). There are several beaches within the area and a bird sanctuary. It is well connected by routes, bus, train - subway to Porto and other cities in Greater Porto and Porto international airport (OPO). The harbour lies within the city limit Vila do Conde/Povoa de Varzim.
It is essentially a beach resort with a hi-tech industrial park in Mindelo with some semi-conductor industries. The downtown of the city of Vila do Conde includes historic monuments such as the Santa Clara Monastery (Convento de Santa Clara, originally built in the 14th century and restructured in the 18th century), ancient churches and the Alfândega.

Dobro vece.
Mnogo lepo mesto i trenutak, kamena obala, uzburkano more i nebo sa oblacima, dobra kompozicija.

Beutiful seascape with a marvelous golden sky above the lovely turquoise se that contrast so powerfully with the green moss clining to the rocky beach.
The church it the distance lends effective scale to this fine image.

Maybe I would prefer to see the beach without tobacco filter, it looks very attractive, but I like this too. Fantastic place for walking.

Beautiful beach and superb composition...I like everything about this except your use of the tobacco filter. I think this scene would have been much better rendered with a normal polarizer of an ND Grad. But, as I said, the scene and composition are flawless.

Personaly, I preffer the natural look - but you had done here a marvelous image.

The point of view is sending my eyes toward the horizon which is giving depth to the scenery. The capture of the power of the sea is an asset to the composition. Using a gradual tobacco filter has a special effect on the colors of the picture. Have a nice day.

Oi Gonçalo,

Minha única restrição ao filtro tabaco é que ás vezes ele acaba avançando mais do que gostaríamos na foto - como aqui, deixando parte do mar alaranjada. De resto, a foto está linda e muito bem enquadrada.

A filter tobacco which gives an original atmosphere to the photograph especially with this slightly tormented sea. Very pretty panorama on this beach where these rocks give much of depth to the image. Beautiful and iodizing composition, thank you Gonçalo.
