Industrial Residues II, a photo from Setubal, South

Photographer's Note

Today curtainly a different image...;-)
This is a picture that I took in a small lagoon created by and affluent of the Tagus River.
This lagoon is located near of one of the major Industries of the Setúbal peninsula – The National Siderurgy.
Because there is no Treatment Station of Industrial Residues in Seixal, this lagoon is used as a deposit of the polluted residues, from a variety of Industries.
In this case the residues came from a cork factory.
The white tones are chemical products to wash the cork.
The dark brow liquids are oils from the machinery and the bright brow tones are cork dust.
This is a beautiful place but unfortunately now is full of water pollution.
That´s the world we leaving!

Olá Teresa. Infelizmente tiveste a oportunidade the registar algo tão triste e dramático de forma deveras criativa. Magníficos padrões num conjunto abstracto qb para chamar a atenção.

Hi Teresa - a good absract image, well done is seeing it & being able to capture it in an attractive way. It's almost unrecognisable as being water!

I love this, as well as the previous greener one. The colours blend so well.
If you have a wider picture of the area showing the lagoon you could post it in a workshop to show what the "reality" is like.
I have done this on one or two of mine.

Olá Teresa,
Só espero que o pessoal não desate a criar poluição para depois tirar belas fotos como esta e a anterior acerca do mesmo tema.
Esta foto apesar de diferente da outra, apresenta os mesmos atributos. Belas cores, grafismos e texturas. Parabens pelo olho clinico capaz de descobrir beleza onde aparentemente só existe lixo e mau cheiro.
