Hello friends
Another photo at the Museum Condes de Castro Guimarães in the village of Cascais, around this museum have a garden where we can find this source with this stone lion background we have a panel of tiles sec. XVII ou XVIII .

The Museum Condes de Castro Guimarães, the former "Torre de S. Sebastião", was built in 1900 by Jorge O'Neill. A classic example of "summer architecture", the building features ecletic elements, inviting visitors to enter a kingdom of fantasy and wonder celebrated in this XIXth century revival of the era of romance.
In 1910, the Count Manuel de Castro Guimarães aquires the house and after is dead (1927) donated his state, including his garden, to the people of Cascais. His desire was to built an art museum and a public library. The museum opened on July 12, 1931.
The Museum Condes de Castro Guimarães collection includes significant national and international paintings, furniture, porcelain and jewellery. Another important part of museum collection is the Crónica de El-Rei D. afonso Henriques (Chronicle of King Afonso Henriques) (1505) by Duarte Galvão, whose Prologue page includes artwork by the miniaturistAntónio d'Ollanda.

I like this one very much, Goncalo; nice deep colors, especially the blues, with some interesting indirect light brightening portions of the scene. Obviously the door is the central point, as it should be, but the architecture itself is well presented around it. Nicely done.

Olá Gonçalo,

engraçado que esse leão de frente tinha cara de zangado, de perfil parece um tanto triste ou com dor. Gosto dos tons de azul do local. Esse museu deve ser um local bem interessante de se visitar.

Nice composition. I like the way you're presenting this fountain. Clear blue water with a reflection of daylight through the door. Great contrast between the blue of the fountain and the yellow from the walls.

You have fitted your user name 'Bluejeans' very well with your last images for they contain a distinct 'blue' theme.
This is a pleasing shot to view. It is engaging with its interesting decorative elements and uses the water incredibly well, to produce a whole new dimension with the reflection. Lovely clarity and colour saturation.

The reflections on the water are assets to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the architecture of the sculptur. The light coming from the entrance has a good effect on the colors. Have a nice day.

nos muestras un bonito rincón de este palacio, con unos elementos arquitectónicos y ornamentales con un alto valor estético, como los preciosos azulejos tradicionales.
Me gusta la suavidad de la luz y de los colores, así como los bellos reflejos sobre el agua de la fuente.
El conjunto es muy rico gráficamente, y la composición es muy atractiva.

Hello Goncalo - Catching up with recent posts and my eye fell on this one which appeals to me.It has such an intimate and immediate look to it due, I think, to the close crop and excellent composition. The pool of water is within my reach. The colours and mood created by the warm light spilling from the doorway make this a very attractive image. Nice detail shot. Warm regards rosemary

Knap gemaakte foto, want wanneer je slechts
een stapje meer naar links, of naar rechts
was gegaan, was deze foto nooit zo mooi
geweest. Hetzelfde geldt voor het bepalen
van je compositie, die is idem heel goed,
net als de belichting.

Samengevat: een mooie en verzorgde foto.
