Photographer's Note
On our trip to Portugal i had the opportunity to make a quick stop in Evora in Alentejo. Unfortunately we had only 2 hours of time, which is not nearly enough to see this beautiful city! At least i had visited the Alentejo, which is the place a former working colleague of mine was born and of which he had told me so many stories of for years.
Evoras history is more than 200 years old. It has seen many rulers, romans, celtics, northern african rulers... Located some kilometers away from the coast, evoras climate is different from the typical "Costa Verde" of portugal. It is much drier and summer temperatures are also less moderate. The historic inner city of Evora, as well as the old roman temple of Evora are of a stunning beauty and in part protected world heritage.

Hi Franz,
Very nice picture. It is well composed, the exposure is OK and the sharpness is very good. Just a shame there is a van on the left, but not easy to avoid it in a city ! The architecture of this city looks very nice.

Olivier

Hello Franz,
Great view of the facade of the building with lots of architectural details. Good sharpness and composition of the image. Sharpness and color saturation are also very good.

Good morning Franz,
A high noon on mid-summer, yet we see many tourists and locals out in the beautiful praça with a fountain ad upon the church's façade.
The clock and bells marvelously shown on photo.
I like the well managed light and depth & superior sharpness.
Best regards,
Ike

Hello Franz,
I think you should spend more time in Evora on a next visit.
It is a wonderful place with a small town feeling but there's so much to see. I remember this beautiful square and the church from my visit at Christmas time in 2014. There was a sound and light show in the evening and images were projected on the facade of this church. Very atmospheric.
A beautiful capture with the big fountain on the foreground and the beautiful houses at the right. The tables under the parasols add more charm to this picture.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Franz,
2 hours are not much time to spend in a new place, on the other hand it's better than 1 hour:)Evora seems to be a nice and beautiful place to visit. Interesting architecture and a relaxed atmosphere. This is a well taken photo from a good angle, a square in front and old architecture in the background, nice! Not many colors in this city, most white and grey color tones. Tfs!
Have a nice evening/
