Resting In The Clouds, a photo from Aveiro, North

Photographer's Note

This is an old one, taken with my Spotmatic.
This village called Murtosa, stays in the sorroundings of the Ria de Aveiro. It has some old fishing ports. A few has been restored, what was very well received by the fishermans, but around them some old boats like this one just stay anchored like this. Speeking about photography I don't like the new ports. The old ones gives much better shots.
In this shot I like the reflexions of the clouds. It seems that the boast is laying in the clouds.
By the way, Murtosa is placed near Aveiro, one of the most beautiful cities here in Portugal.

Enhorabuena Artur... I love this oniric photo where the world seems to be upside down. Great idea to play with water and clouds. I would like to sail on this magical boat. Obrigado.

great shot... le canot semble flotter à la fois dans le ciel et dans l'eau.
Beau cadrage également en décentrant le sujet.

I love the title you have given this photo. The boat does look like it is resting in the clouds.
I think the dark reflection of the boat helps give the illusion of it resting in the clouds.
I like the colours and clouds reflected in the water.

Superb composition. The reflects are just insane ! They are very sharp and have beautiful colours. It really looks like a montage (though I guess it isn't).

This is a piece of art. As you say the boat looks like being navigating on the clouds. The black boat makes me imagine it is a boat to lead deads to the other live. But the boat is empty. Nobody deserves heaven today...

Very well seen and crop this one. Choosing only to include water gives indeed the idea that the boat is resting on the clouds. B&W make the scene more moody. I like it.
