Photographer's Note

Here is another view of the old market place of Warsaw.

The historical area of Warsaw was subject to intense bombing during the WW2 and saw its historical marvels being damaged. Little by little, the Polish people dedicated resources to restore to castles, churches and ramparts their original beauty.

Today, when walking in these streets, one can be very impressed by the life in the various shops, restaurants, buildings. It seems that Polish people enjoy very much gathering in this area and walk along the strong walls.

At dusk, that market place displays a nice unreal face with its enlighten painted houses with high front walls. The mix of lights and nice colors make it a lovely spot to spend time. I especially enjoyed the huge exhibit with WW2 photography made on one part of the place with posters about three or four meters high.

Original picture slightly, rotated, recropped, ran through PTlens and Unsharp Masks. No tripod as it was a business trip, I just sat against the fountain, the elbows frozen in my legs to move as little as possible and shoot a dozen pictures...
