Photographer's Note

Pieniny. Not large but extremely picturesque region in the southern Poland. Especially in late autumn. These old and relatively low limestone mountains have weathered in many wonderful ways, offering rare diversity of landscapes.

Here, a vista from below Wysoki Wierch towards the heart of Pieniny mountains with Three Crowns, Sokolica, Czertez and others (shaded, on the left).
On the right, the distinctive peak is Rabsztyn (847m asl), situated precisely on the borderline with Slovakia.
