Photographer's Note
The Old Town Hall in Wrocław is a wonderful building that is a symbol of this city. It is a late-Gothic building standing in the center of the Wrocław Market Square - one of the best-preserved historic town halls in Poland and one of the most valuable architectural monuments in Wrocław. It's hard not to pay attention to the Wrocław Town Hall while walking around the Market Square. Its intricately decorated facade impresses with its beauty. The building itself is two-story, with a basement and designed on an elongated rectangular plan, with a tower and several outbuildings. The town hall was built in several stages over the course of about 250 years, from the end of the 13th century to the 16th century.
Currently, the magnificent and beautiful Town Hall houses a branch of the Wrocław City Museum - the Museum of the Towns' Art Museum, constituting its main exhibit.
In the basement of the Old Town Hall, there is the famous Piwnica Świdnicka - one of the oldest restaurants in Europe, and perhaps the oldest, which operates continuously to this day. You can taste mead here? Famous Wrocław dwarfs also stand by the Old Town Hall - another symbol of the city! You will find several of them here, on all facades of the building.

Hi Zbigniew,
That combination of yellow background and brick details is special. And those curvy details look really good. The clock is awesome too. Your angle right from the front is just right on this case.

Hello Zbigniew !
I grew up with this view, but never lived there.....My parents lived in Wroclaw/ former:Breslau and have a photo of this nice Town hall in their living room. my mother was 16 when she and her sister and mother had to leave on 11th of January 1945 the town. My father, born in 1915, was injured in the first year of the war and worked in a hospital. He left Breslau in February 45. They met and married somewhere in Bavaria. The photo is still hanging in my 93-years-old mother's living room.
In 2010 my mother and siblings visited the city and interesting places in the area.
I think we were 3 times in Piwnica Świdnicka (German: Schweidnitzer Keller), or Świdnica Cellar in English for lunch/dinner and enjoyed the traditional food very much.
My mother celebrated New Year's Eve there 12 days before the flight.
This is a fine shot without any distortions and nice natural colors.it is nice that the polish government has restored the old historical buildings well and thus preserved a piece of german history.
Thanks for showing us this foto.
Regards,Ronny

Exquisite architecture shown here, Zbigniew, sometimes I wish our cityhalls would look so elegant and attractive.
Even as the sky were mostly grey, you managed a vivid picture with the golden and brown colors, details shown in marvelous sharpness.
The closck upon the facade was the first element i noticed, but the whole is no-less beautiful.
Good afternoon,
Ike

Hi Zbigniew.
Sensational capture of this wonderful building, nothing easy to do so straight without leaks and complete with the short distance that the street gives, I remember it very well, also when I went it rained in a not pleasant way.
Very good color, brightness and sharpness.
Very well done. I like.
Have a great day.
Very best regards.
Luis

Hello Zbigniew
I just spent a few moments online to take news of your pocketable Canon and was amazed, when reading the review, at so much qualities contained in such a small body!
Save it as a treasure!
Before my investigation, I successfully enlarged my screen up to 250 % and still obtained a sharp depiction of these late-Gothic fancy decorations on the church.
I appreciate so much the great care you took for an outcome of rigorous vertical lines.
Great picture!
Cheers

Hello Zbigniew,
This is truly a beautiful Town Hall. There are so many rich details, and I especially like the yellow accents on the upper sections. The clock is also impressive. Thanks for the view. Take care!
