National Independence Day (Polish: Narodowe Swieto Niepodległości) is a national day in Poland celebrated on November 11 to commemorate the anniversary of the restoration of Poland's sovereignty as the Second Polish Republic in 1918 from the German, Austro-Hungarian and Russian Empires. Following the partitions in the late 18th century, Poland ceased to exist for 123 years until the end of World War I, when the destination of the neighboring powers allowed the country to reemerge.

Eagle with the Polish flag is located on the lighthouse in Kolobrzeg in memory of heroes who died in the fight against the German Nazi invaders for freedom and independence.

Bonjour Zbigniew,

J'aime bien voir cet aigle toutes griffes dehors pour célébrer d'une certaine manière l'indépendance de la Pologne. Beau cadrage bien symétrique avec de belles textures de brique.

To faktycznie wazny dzien dla nas i po 123 latach niewoli powinnismy bardziej cenic te 101 lat funkcjonowania w roznych warunkach.
Ciekawie pokazany ten detal z kolobrzeskiej latarni.
Dobra prezentacja, choc pewnie niedoceniana przez inne nacje

a marvelous image of the symbol and with a great quality. I guess it is curious the name "independence day" because in fact it should be named "restoration of independence" once poland existed during many centuries and lost its independence many times. very strong history yours.
