Psalterium in Poznan - a late-gothic building erected around 1518, commissioned by the Poznan bishop Jan Lubrañski in Poznañ. In addition to the western wall damaged during the fighting in 1945, and rebuilt with the gable roof above it in 1948, the building as one of the few monuments on Ostrów Tumski avoided more serious damage.
Psalterium is a three-storey residential building intended for the college of twelve psalters established in 1512 (also on the initiative of Bishop J. Lubrañski). Their task was to daily celebrate the votive mass on the Holy Cross. and every week two masses (for the founder of the building) in the Poznañ cathedral and singing psalms throughout the night (two psalterists changed every hour).
