Photographer's Note

Old Castle in Zywiec is a castle located in Zywiec, Silesian Voivodeship, Poland.

A castle in Zywiec was first mentioned in 1467, as destroyed by an army, under Casimir IV Jagiellon's command against the House of Komorowski, with the Korczak Coat of Arms, recorded by Jan D³ugosz. However it is not certain whether it denoted the castle in the town or a fortifications on a nearby Grojec hill. Archaeological scrutiny dates the origins of the castle in the first half of the 15th century. A later expansion was constructed in 1567 by the House of Komorowski. Under the ownership and will of Jan Spytek Komorowski, during the castle's expansion a Renaissance style courtyard was built, which is still untouched in its current form.
Since 2005, the Old Castle in Zywiec hosts the City Museum in Zywiec. (wiki)

Hello Krzysztof,
I would have guessed this was built in the Neo-Renaissance style of the 19th century, so I am slightly surprised it is "real". Maybe it has been carefully renovated later, because it seems to be in such a good shape. The trees frame the view nicely and the man and child are perfectly included.

The oblique path at right leads directly to the arched doorway and entrance to the castle. Good sharpness and well managed back light with retention of good colour. Tfs!

Czesc Krzysztof,
uroczy palac. Miales troche pecha ze slonce nie oswietlilo ci go lepiej ale swietnie sobie z tym poradziles i chmury nawet troche dopomogly.
Bardzo dobrze wybrany punkt widzenia ktory pozwolil ci obramowac architekture drzewami po obu stronach.
Naprawde sporo w tym Zywcu jest do zobaczenia, wyglada na to ze jest nawet ciekawszy niz Pszczyna ale niestety troche dalej w bok od autostrady wiec nie wiem czy mi sie uda tam przy okazji zajechac...

Ce n'était pas trop difficile de trouver un titre pour cette photo qui porte ta signature. Le contre jour est bien maîtrise car tous les détails ressortent parfaitement .
