Photographer's Note

Today I woke up at night and rode to dunes. I was there a while before sunrise and catch some captures as this one. There was no wind, but a little frosty so there was a thin layer of ice on the sand creating a beautiful surface reflecting the sunrayses. As you see my camera and my eyes are ok after a storm 10 days ago ;).

Trzeba mieæ jednak w sobie t± wra¿liwo¶æ, to inne spojrzenie na ¶wiat, ¿eby takie obrazy wyczarowywaæ, jak Ty...

Zdjêcie jest ¶wietnie skomponowane - i ¶lady, i pieñ drzewka rzucaj±cego cieñ, i S³oñce... Jak zwykle dopracowane i nieprzypadkowe ujêcie. Szczególnie wzrok przykuwa "¿eberkowa" faktura piasku i te ¶lady zwierzêce, które mój wzrok prowadz± gdzie¶ w g³±b kadru. £adnie siê prezentuj± tak¿e zbocza wydm, delikatnie szronem posrebrzone. Kolory delikatne w promieniach S³oneczka ³adnie sk±pane.
Gratulujê wspania³ego zdjêcia i dziêkujê Ci, ¿e mogê podziwiaæ takie piêkno na Twoich fotografiach :).

Hi,
A composition with a relaxed, calm feel in it - an atmosphere quite different as compared to your previous shot.
I like the image, it's well composed - a nice, effective use of the stump's long shadow. Love that! Beautifully rendered the texture of the sand, also. Gooood work!
P.S.
I think this composition would look really beautiful (even elegant) also in a B&W medium, increasing a little the contrast (though I know you are a 'warm light & colour lover' :) ).

What a great result achieved by shooting towards the sun. It's different kinds of shadows that make this picture. One of that tree stump, shadows of dunes, footprints and that wavy sand pattern. Excellent exposure.

Very good low POV. I like very much the looong shadows and the compsotion with the dunes almost white on the left hand side and the sun looking like a huge star on the right. Great job.

One of your best shots of the dunes, with superb perspective. One has the feeling of walking drunkenly on a slope with the striations of the sand interrupted by the footprints of some large animal - or man - and the incredible shadow. Very mysterious and alluring. You seized the moment here and the result is excellent. Its a real keeper.

What a gorgeous photo. Again, like good art there is a deeper story, it is ambiguous, and open-ended. There is a metaphor of the footsteps in the sand leading somewhere, but where! The composition is imaginative, the technical aspects flawless.

Henryk, although this one seems almost static I prefer it over your previous post with all the wind. It is very similar with the shot straight into the sunlight, but the texture in the sand and the prints in it are a great addition. Perfect placement of the sun in your composition!

Another terrific dune shot, Henryk. The footsteps work well for me although others may have a more purist attitude here. Fine exposure (perhaps PP, too?) job to give this eerie effect. Very well done.

The sun may burn the camera sensor with > 30 mm lenses but no troubles for you.
