this portrait is both haunting and compelling. It is an evocative study and the fact that the man is not looking at the camera, but beyond it, adds to the effect and power of the image. Stunning work!

Hi Adrian,
Good interaction with this man, a forest laborer. Having an eye contact would be preferrable for my taste, but this downwards gaze works also well for giving a thoughtful look. Very interesting framing which makes him popping out of the image. The surroundings also add to the melancholic feeling, i especially love that dirty window.

Hi Adrian. Portraits are the fine art of photography. The point is to show the essence of being photographed. The photo pleases me very well. Interesting is the framing and design. Truly outstanding.

Excellent portrait shot which speaks for itself. The mimic of the man, his sad ayes, not being shaved and his mannerism clearly tell the story, I have only very little money but I'm a proud man. Well done

Hello Adrian,
this is a compelling portrait. I don't mind that the man does not look directly into your lens. Perhaps he is shy or his poverty leads him to be in reflective mood. I would describe this ss has a compassionate portrait. I only wish I could read your note and I don't see a way on TE to translate?
