View of the Western Sudetes from the top of Czarna Gora (Black Mountain).

The Sudetes are old mountains, they were created in the Paleozoic era, during the Hercynian orogeny, today they are called the land of extinct volcanoes. The highest mountain is Snezka (1603 m a. s. l.). In most of them they are overgrown with forests and have perfect conditions for skiing
