Photographer's Note

Klodzko kept perfectly formed, complete and original medieval urban layout of the city, which is closely adapted to the terrain and the subordinate role of the defense of the castle, and later the fortress. The oldest part of town lies on the left bank of the Nysa Klodzka River, on a high terrace at the foot of the Mt. Fortress. The result is that in the old town there are significant differences in height, amounting to about 20 m for the market, and the river, and between the claim and the river until about 60 m. Thus, a large number of streets are steep, and even runs up the steps, as if st. Sloping, which gives this picturesque part of town. Old Town area is separated from the rest of the city through parks, which take the form of implants, squares and green areas.
