Photographer's Note

Continuing my serie of pictures taken in the foremast of the Sorlandet, I give you here a detail of the upper part of the mast. I believe that this one was taken at mid level, where the middle part of the mast joins the upper one (you can see the attachment between the two in the lower right corner). This is above the platform, but not yet to the top of the mast. So if you want to go further up, you just have to clim higher on the shrouds. The upper crosstree is visible when the stays join the mast.

Bonjour Emmanuel,
A fantastic POV to follow the mast towards the top. A great view full of strong diagonals of the ropes, who all lead the eye to the centre of interest, the top of the mast, which is well placed off-centred in the composition. Very good photo work!
