Photographer's Note
A picture from Reine, the most beautiful fishing city of the lofoten, one says. I took this one from our Rorbu on the other side of Reine. We had this view from our sitting place. The evening sun was well reflected on the red rorbu's on the other side. This view had to be made infinite I thought. I made a composition with the boats from our Rorbu.
I think the shining red would shine more because of the dark foreground.
What do you think about the dark stones in front of this picture, do they belong in the composition?
Enjoy this one!

I do enjoy this one! I love the way the red seems to glow throughout the whole scene. I am trying to picture the photo without the stones... I think it would look great either way. I tend to like them. Cheers,
Sarah

Hello Florian,
Beautiful light brings out the red on the houses, the detail is also very clear, you only need to crop a bit off the bottom otherwise you may add noise and lose detail on the rest. Very nice.

Nice job working with the low sun. All the red is surreal. Your subject seems to be the houses so there is a little too much distraction in the foreground.

Beautiful. I don't like the boat in the foreground because they are in the dark
Tank you for sharing

I can feel the red! I agree with everyone about cropping a little to simplify your photo. However, it is still a cool shot. (or perhaps a HOT shot!)

Hi Florian, tks for your visit. These red colours are so amazing against the sky and the waters edge. I like your pov and positioning of the rocks edge here leading the eye across the water to the red village. Beautifully composed. Although a slight tilt. I will try to correct for you in WS. Well done.

Hi Florian
A nice picture of great colors and lighting. A well composed image. I would however prefer it to be less tilted and a smaller foreground to be present, because I'd like to focus more on the houses. This is one enjoyable pic, very pleasant, I like it.
Cheers

Bonjour Florian,
j'ai parcouru ta galerie et celle-ci me plaît bien. Les couleurs vivents des maisons sont bien mises en valeur avec le soleil couchant. Un très bel endroit.
