After a lot of bad weather so far this spring, the sun finally showed up. The many puddles left after the rain created fine opportunities for photographers. This is some of the buildings on the square Vågsallmenningen in Bergen reflected in the wet cobble stones. Red, yellow and blue is historical set of primary colours. Well, today it is Norway`s National Day, and it is the red, blue and white that counts.

Hello Erling,

This is like a patchwork of geometric shapes, interspersed with rich colours of totally contrasting textures. It is most attractive to view.
Isn't it funny how puddles can become so beautifully artistic. Of course, the photographer has to have the 'vision' to see it.

Taken well the advantage of the rain "left-overs", a reflection on the wet cobbled stone road. Favorable light condition and well in sharpness photo.

en fin och genomtänkt bild, speciellt med tanke på nationaldagen. Reflektioner från vatten kan bli bra många gånger(och vattenpölar finns det ju gott om i Bergen:)) Gatstenarna skapar ett vackert mönster mellan färgerna från huset, bra gjort! Gratulerer med dagen!

haha...why didn't we get to see these puddle reflection shots!
maybe I wasn't looking hard enough, or maybe the sky wasn't blue enough to give off an attractive scene.

I'm sure as you were taking this photo somebody thought you were crazy and weird :)

and its a good tie-in with the National Holiday with the colors of the flag. good pic!
and i think I recognize the blue building again.

Many small puddles but when there are enough of them we can get a good image of the houses on this street.
Sometimes beauty is found by looking down.

a lovely spectacle you discovered within the puddle in the cobblestone, the bright light gives special qualities to the colours, the yellow looks golden, the greys have a silvery sheen. I also like very much the textures and how reflections and colours spread all over the frame. We get a description that's indirect but very effective and pleasant. Congratulations and thank you!

Hello Erling,

Very attractive composition of these reflections in small patches of water in the pavement after the rain. photographer looking for something in the puddles must look crazy to "normal" people. It is always fun to observe.
I read that you met craig during his travel in Norway. What a pity we haven't met when I was in Bergen, but it was a few years ago.
