Bergen Cathedral, a photo from Hordaland, South

Photographer's Note

Bergen Cathedral (Bergen Domkirke) was first built in the 12th century, probably, as the first recorded reference to it is dated 1181. The churh has burned down several times. After fires in 1623 and 1640 it was rebuilt and given the appearance it still has. This is a view from the side and back surrounded by the roofs of classic Bergen wooden houses.

Hello Erling,
masterfully composed picture!
I really like the well considered close-up in combination with vertical frame.But for me the best thing about this image is the way the green dome of Bergen´s Cathedral emerges from behind these beautiful red rooftops.Really magnificent composition with delightful,vibrant colors and outstanding quality.

What a lovely tower, a wonderful art work of these architect long time ago.
I know not certainly but I believe these roof is cupper.
Also the roofs with tiled are excellent photographed.
Your picture is very well taken.
Colours and sharpness be superb.
Composition and presentation are excellent.

The steeple is well framed by the red roofs and stands well over the perfect sky. The well renderedc colors and sharpness make an inage of very good quality.

Hej Erling,
this is a decent suggestion of Domkirke, reminding us of medieval Bergen (hadn't it been for the Velux windows) and more impressive than a naked frontal perspective. Well seen!
