Photographer's Note
I am about to close this old travelogue, but before the last post tomorrow, I wanted to include Agard II in the gallery, with two views, to comemorated the first anniversary of her disappearance.
Asgard II sunk one year ago, and she will not be lifted because of a conjonction of unfavorable circunstances, mainly the financial crisis which has severely damaged Ireland. THose whol iked here are now waiting for an Asgard III, as promised by hthe Irish government.
In the main post here, Asgard II is only visible through her bowspruit, which is nevertheless easy to identify thanks to 1) the figurehead of Granuile, the pirat queenn, and 2) the blue and white pennant of Coiste an Asgard (the association who owned the ship), showing a double spiral inspired by Celtic art and depicting the Sun (orange)and the Moon (white). One of these pennants is hanging on my wall.
I took also a general view of Asgard II, in workshop, but which was unfortunalty cropped at the bowspruit!
Scanned film, PS Elements 5.0
A very nice Sunday to all.

when the sun shine in it's completely another story!
A very bright and lively pictures and an excellent composition showing the bowsprit at the left and the row of the other boats to the right. It really conveys the atmosphere of a gorgious and exciting feast and event like I have witnessed it.
Thanks for sharing,
Donato

Salut Emmanuel
