Mountain Landscapes II, a photo from Sor-Trondelag, South

Photographer's Note

There is nothing dramatic in this landscape, nothing like the mountains in the western part of Norway. On the contrary, here we have slowly rolling hills with lakes and ponds scattered all over, connected by small rivers and creeks…

The little creek we see here is typical for the area, and it is populated by river trout. River trout differs from lake trout in the colour of meat; lake trout looks like salmon while the river trout is white. Lake trout is regarded as more exclusive, but the fact is they taste very much the same!

Some days ago I took advantage of the most wonderful weather to bring my camera on a trip to a nearby mountain area with lots of photo opportunities, and I will bring a few of the images in the days to come.

Hi Pablo, nothing of dramatic, but many of beautiful!
a wonderful sky with nice clouds and an idilliac, peacefull and colorful landscape with the small pond and the few trees.

Yes, nothing dramatic, Pablo, but still a very pleasant landscape, well composed and good exposure/sharpness. Some may not like the amount of sky that you have left in this, but the deep blue at the top of the frame has the effect of balancing the landform in the bottom. Cheers . . . David

I don't agree. The sky is dramatic, the sharpness is dramatic and the colours are dramatic. Wonderful nature there, thanks for sharing this photo.

Hi Pablo. A lovely shot of a delightful scene. The sky, of course, is marked by a spectacular cloud formation. The colour of the rocks in the little creek is quite striking. It would be hard in Australia, if not impossible, to find a small flowing creek like this, with fish in it, running through open fields (we call them paddocks); usually these creeks are in mountainous and forested areas.

Hi Pablo,
Although no dramatic central focus, the creek draws the eye as the main attraction, surrounded, indeed cloaked by the mid-summer grasses and foliage. I like the reddish, rusty appearance of the water and stones. Its interesting that you refer to this as "creek," which I always thought was a North American expression. When I travel in Britain, people never use that word, but refer to a "stream," which in North America is seen as approximately the same thing, but perhaps denotes a smoother waterway, whereas a creek envisions just what you have captured...Sorry for the digression. This is a rich summer pallette of warm hues, with good sharpness and a fine POV. Well captured.

This wonderful compo goes to my favorites. As Andrew comments, "The sky is spectacular!!" Frank comments about, "the curve of the hillside" draws your eye down the the small stand of trees and their reflection in the pool of the creek It does look like lovely fishing. Hope you got your dinner here.

A nice and crisp shot. The colours look clinical in this one and I like the blue sky. The filter has given an unusual distribution in the blue with a rich hue in the top center of the shot. This adds impact in my view and makes the shot look dramatic. Nice work.

Yes. This indeed is a great photo, depsite the fact that it is deviod of "dramatism".

This is a very pleasing almost minimalist landscape, with increadible colors. Nothing dramatic indeed...well... may be that amazing sky can be consider a bit dramatic. Either way, this is a great shot of a very simple situation. I wouldn't be able to get such result out of this stream (and not creek, heheheh) view. Congratulations!

It's amazing how the wispy clouds in the sky follow the contours of the horizon. The light on the scene is beautiful, affording the little reflections in the pool. It is a very simple but beautiful image.

Hello Pablo, this image with excellent made photogenic, and this landscape of mountain will be able just as easily to find itself in remote regions, which it there is of good with the photograph it is that one is always full with dreams and projects, often too remote to be carried out, but thanks to the other members, as it is the case here one is often rewarded by images which finally are impeccable, and their realization is done often better than if one will have took the photograph would be even, this surrounded water point its grassy part is superb, the general colour is of a good naturalness under this sky to polarize contributes to the success of the photograph, sincerely
