Tectonic Plates, a photo from Rogaland, South

Photographer's Note

The harbour in Tananger Indre Havn, inner harbour, quite often freezes in winter as it is relatively shallow here; but, in the this photo, it is 'au point', and the surface is just frozen, leaving rivulets of colour in the ice. The reflections are from the hotel in the background, which has a red roof. The golden hues are from the rays of the sun striking at a low angle, and the blue is from the sky. I took many photos here that morning, and was fascinated by the changes. I do hope that you enjoy looking at this as much as I did.

A very intriguing photo, dear Amelia. It makes one wonder what created these lovely colours on the ice. And as much intriguing pattern of the lines dividing your 'tectonic plates', you can follow them for long, going in all possible directions. I like this very much!
